Hierarchical Asynchronous Parallel Evolutionary Algorithms (HAPEAs) 

  


The group has developed a Hierarchical Parallel Asynchronous Evolution Algorithm (HAPEA) that has proven to be robust for Single and Multi-objective problems.

  • We use a technique that finds optimum solutions by using many different models, that greatly accelerates the optimisation process. 

  • Interaction of the 3 layers: solutions go up and down the layers.

  • Time consuming solvers only for the most promising solutions.

Multiobjective Optimisation

This algorithm has been tested and proven to be robust for multi-modal, multi objective problems, deceptive multi-objective problems, multiobjective problems having convex, non convex fronts, continuos or discontinuous optimal fronts and non-uniformly represented Pareto optimal fronts
