Undergraduate Capabilities

The VSFS plays an important part in undergraduate studies from the third year onwards of the Aeronautical Engineering degree at the University of Sydney. Research Capabilities

The entire VSFS project has been a research initiative of the Aeronautical Engineering Department within the School of Aeronautical, Mechanical and Mechatronics and Engineering at the University of Sydney. The overall physical redesign with a glass cockpit and software design based on real time simulation using an xPC Target and Simulink© structure was also a research project since 1999. The VSFS is an exclusive project to the University of Sydney, a national first. There is a significant potential for industry to harness this project to procure future candidates for employment.
