Industrial Capabilities

The VSFS is an exclusive project to the University of Sydney, a national first. There is a significant potential for industry to harness this project to procure future candidates for employment. Undergraduate and Postgraduate students undertaking projects on the VSFS are individuals whose main areas of interest are flight simulation and related fields such as guidance systems.

In addition, the VSFS provides a state of the art service at minimal cost. Engineering simulators are not as common as training simulators. The capability for full motion adaptable and variable simulation is invaluable in the design process for new aircraft types at low cost.

The numerous aircraft types available in the one simulator are vast and have been proven to be an excellent educational tool. Students in other educational institutes with aviation oriented courses would benefit from this capability as a demonstration exercise in aircraft handling or responses.
