Research and development
CASE members undertake research in the following major areas.
- Structural behaviour and design
-Steel, stainless steel and aluminium structures
-Concrete and steel-concrete composite structures
- Structural mechanics and analysis
- Structural reliability and systems
- Structural materials
Research and development activities focus on the following broad themes.
- Structural stability and thin-walled structures
- Composite structures
- Experimental techniques
- Non-linear materials
- Materials science
- Computational analysis
CASE members engage in national and international research collaborations and serve as chairs and members of numerous Standards Australia and international standards committees relating to structural design.
The group's research is supported by a number of Australian Research Council (ARC) and other grants.
