Abstract

Title: Thermo Mechanical Behaviour of Clay

1) The applications of research including the facilities for nuclear waste
disposal, deep mining, extraction of geothermal energy, heat storage
2) Discussion about reasons for doing such a research and showing a table
summarized the previous researches .
3) The aims of study: Setup instrumentation, Modification to controlling
software , Stress-Strain-Temperature response of a saturated clay,
Developing models to predict the response
4) Current status of study: Instrumentation, room temperature tests and radial
drainage concepts
