Abstract

A number of laboratory soil testing has been performed on an illitic clay to investigate the mechanical behaviour of clay at elevated temperature between 22C and 100C. The results are based on permeability, drained and undrained triaxial tests in a fully automated temperature controlled triaxial apparatus. The talk will briefly cover the instrumentation, calibration and experiments and then some of the results will be presented.
