Seminar - Grahame Vile - A Review of Deterioration of Reinforced Concrete
Wednesday, August 29, 2001, 1.10 - 1.40 pm
Civil Engineering Lecture Room 3
Abstract
Major mechanisms of concrete deterioration and reinforcement corrosion are discussed, and factors influencing these mechanisms are identified. The mechanisms discussed for concrete include sulphate attack, alkali reacitvity, and acid attack. The mechanisms of reinforcement corrosion are reviewed, with the effects of choride attack and carbonation discussed
