Seminar - Greg Hancock - Co-educational Masters Programs and Research Links with Chinese Universities
Wednesday, March 31, 2004, 1.10 - 1.50 pm
Civil Engineering Lecture Room 3
Abstract
A set of co-educational agreements for joint masters programs was recently signed by our Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Beryl Hesketh, on behalf of our Faculty with Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), Dalian University of Technology (DUT) and Tongji University. The seminar will talk about these agreements and how we can best take advantage of them.
During the visits to sign the agreements in February, significant discussions were made regarding possible research links and collaboration. These are leading engineering faculties/departments in China with some very good staff, and some very good facilities. It is to our advantage to engage with them in the future. The seminar will outline some of these opportunities including showing some of their facilities.
