Seminar - "Final Year Student Mini Projects" - Various presenters

Wednesday, June 8, 2000, 12.10 - 1.50 pm
Civil Engineering Lecture Room 3

Abstract

This is a slightly different format than usual. Due to the 6 credit point course changes, some students ended up 2 credit points short, and they have all done a small project (like a mini thesis), and will give brief presentations on their work.

The speakers and the topic are .....

Paul El-Bayeh - How well do we teach students "what is civil engineering?"
Mark Edwards - How do students' perceptions of university compare with reality?
Simon Baggot - Some posters to inspire and educate about Civil Engineering.
Katherine Scevity - Construction waste; how can we improve current construction practices?
Martin Huong - The construction and installation of overhead wiring structures.
Tim Morison - The Dome - A database to assist online engineering education
