Abstract
Storage racks are widely used in the industry and their structural behaviour is quite complicated. A lack of experimental results and a not well understood 3D load transfer of a specific rack type, Drive-in rack, can lead to catastrophic failures. This problem will be overcome using experimental techniques and finite elements analysis. Scientifically design guidelines for the industry will be isuued.
