The Centre carries out a comprehensive research on several processes involved in the hydrologic cycle of water, which include:

• precipitations;
• river flow discharge;
• vadoze zone processes;
• aquifer dynamics;
• ecohydrology and the interaction with plants;
• applications for agriculture (e.g., irrigation)
• water quality assessment;
• water storage, supply and recycling;
• water resources management;
