Soil biogeochemistry

The Wind, Waves and Water Centre carries out important research within the area of soil biogeochemistry. The aspects currently under investigation include:

• nutrient cycling, transport, and trade-off in soils (e.g., carbon, nitrogen);
• contaminants transport;
• contaminant bio- and phyto-remediation;
• anthropogenic impact on soil resources and soil quality (e.g., agriculture, deforestation);
• global soil change;
• soil microbial biomass dynamics;
