Practical Experience Requirements

All engineering students must accumulate a minimum amount of exposure to the engineering industry and profession to be eligible to graduate with a BE degree. The preferred method of industry experience is a 12 week placement in an Engineering company as a student engineer, normally taken in the summer break between years 3 and 4 of the undergraduate program or after year one of the postgraduate program. Industry exposure can also be taken in shorter blocks or in specific industry involvement courses. For full details of the requirements and how to register for this component visit Practical Experience Information.
