Step Two:

Your details have been confirmed to you by the Graduate School. Please enter these details into the Report. Continue to complete the Report with the appropriate information.

Step Three:

If you are in your first year of probation candidature, you are required to submit a draft Research Proposal and Literature Review.
Please note -

• The Research Proposal must be original and innovative, addressing a research question/s, and outline a clear research plan, research methodology and estimated time lines to complete the thesis. There is no prescribed length for the Research Proposal but it is expected that this be no more than 2 pages.
• The Literature Review is a collection of state of the art knowledge in a specific field which provides clear evidence that you have a clear understanding of the background knowledge relevant to the research project.
• For the purposes of your Probation APR, to show that you have a clear understanding of the above, you are required to submit a condensed version of your Literature Review for the Panel Committee’s consideration. This is to be no more than 10 pages in length.
• Your Research Proposal and Literature Review must be saved as a PDF document named ResProposal_LitReview-SURNAME.

Please note that this is a mandatory requirement of your candidature. You have 10 working days to complete this process from the date of the email. If you fail to do so you will be asked to 'Show Cause'.

Email your Report to the Postgraduate Officer in your School. The Postgraduate Officer will advise you by email of your interview date and time and will forward your Supervisor’s Report prior to the Interview. If you have any queries, please contact the Postgraduate Officer directly:
