Award for Excellence in Teaching (Academic)

Purpose of the Award
The Board of the Electrical and Information Engineering Foundation would like to give recognition to excellence in teaching among the academic staff of the School of Electrical and Information Engineering by presenting, each year, the Award for Excellence in Teaching (Academic). The Board recognises that this award alone cannot give full recognition to all the excellent teaching being done by the academic staff.

Method of Selection
The Head of School will review the unit of study evaluations received from the School's undergraduate students of a particular year. The Head of School will decide on the winner or winners of the award after reviewing the unit of study evaluations.

Persons Eligible for the Award
All persons who are full-time members of the academic staff of the School during the year concerned are eligible for this award. Any one staff member will be eligible to receive the award only once in any xxxx years (period under review). The award may be shared.

Award for Excellence in Teaching (Tutoring)

Purpose of the Award
The Board of the Electrical and Information Engineering Foundation would like to give recognition to excellence in tutoring among the staff and students of the School of Electrical and Information Engineering by presenting, each year, the Award for Excellence in Teaching (Tutoring). The Board recognises that this award alone cannot give full recognition to all the excellent tutoring being done by the staff and students.

Method of Selection
The academic staff of the School who were on the staff during the year concerned will be invited to nominate three persons from among the School's staff and students whom they consider contributed significantly to the development of the School's students through the excellence of their teaching method and content while engaged in tutoring the students of the School during a particular year. The Head of School will decide on the winner or winners after reviewing the nominations received from the academic staff.

Persons Eligible for the Award
Staff, postgraduate students and undergraduate students of the School who taught the students by leading tutorials during the particular year are eligible for this award, but not members of the academic staff. Any one staff member or student will be eligible to receive the award only once in any xxxx years (period under review). The award may be shared.
