GECCO 2013 Industrial Challenge
GECCO (Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference), organized by the ACM’s special interest group in evolutionary computation, is one of the largest conferences in the field of genetic and evolutionary computation. Every year, GECCO holds an industrial challenge for Computational Intelligence researchers and practitioners to compete on difficult real-world problems provided by industry partners from various fields. The competition of 2013, which was sponsored by GreenPocket GmbH, involved the prediction of temperature and humidity inside a smart home.
Farzad Noorian and Rommel Vergara's submissions to the challenge were awarded first and third place respectively.
