The Master of Engineering is a specialised program for qualified engineers seeking to move into middle management. It allows you to build on your existing engineering undergraduate degree by developing specialised technical and management knowledge in a particular area.
The Master of Engineering is a 48 credit point coursework degree which can be undertaken as a generic ME or with specialisations in the areas of Network Engineering, Wireless Engineering or Power Engineering. The ME can be completed in one year full-time or two years part-time.
Master of Professional Engineering (MPE)
In 2009 the ME was joined by another coursework offering, the Master of Professional Engineering (MPE). This program has multiple entry streams and, subject to conditions, can be taken by students from a non-engineering background.
If you are wanting to change careers and become an engineer, obtain accredited qualifications that will enable you to practise in Australia and internationally, or simply move into a different engineering field, you should consider the Master of Professional Engineering.
