Student Services & Facilities

The University of Sydney assists its students by offering them access to a wide variety of support services, from childcare to counselling to accommodation.

Learning Centre

The Learning Centre runs a variety of programs, free of charge.

Central programs are advertised throughout the year on faculty and department notice boards, or ask your lectures about LAC involvement in generic skills development in your course.

IT Services

When you enrol at Sydney you are provided with a UniKey account that will give you access to IT services around the university.

Accommodation

The University of Sydney operates an Acommodation Service for both current and prospective students. The service website has extensive information about on-campus, off-campus and temporary accomodation.

Casual Employment Service

This service helps you find casual, part-time and vacation employment to support your continuing studies. The jobs database takes online queries 24 hours a day. Just use the MyUni login name and password issued to you at enrolment, enter your student ID in the Student Services dialogue box and click the CES Jobs link. Follow the registration link if you are a first time user.

Health and Welfare

The University of Sydney has a wide range of health and welfare services to help students fulfil their academic, individual and social goals. On the Camperdown, Darlington and Cumberland campuses the services provided include:

  • Counselling
  • International Student Support
  • Disability Services
  • Indigenous support through the Koori Centre
  • Indigenous support through Yooroang Garang
  • University Health Service
  • Child care

Childcare

Six long-day care centres for children from six weeks to five years old. Waiting periods depend on factors such as date of application, age of child and days required.
