Information for Prospective Undergraduates
Engineers are problem solvers -- people who make things work better, more efficiently, and less expensively.
Electrical engineers create products such as control systems for cars and airplanes, communications satellites, PDAs and cellular telephones, microelectronic devices, the internet and wireless communication systems, electric power distribution systems and microprocessors for computers and programmable devices.
We'll teach you skills to search for better ways to solve problems.
Power engineers create and manage the infrastructure required to supply power to major cities, regional and rural areas, railway lines, homes and businesses.
Electrical engineers design, develop, install and maintain systems in areas as diverse as computer systems, electronics and telecommunications.
Software engineers build worlds. Worlds where people connect and do business, worlds of gaming and adventure, worlds that make today very different from 20 years ago.
Biomedical engineers design and manufacture implantable and external medical devices including orthopaedic, cardiovascular and other electronic and surgical equipment.
