Map & Directions

The AWBFMA2016 will be hosted by the University of Sydney, approximately 2.5 km from the Sydney CBD, near the junction of Parramatta and City Roads. For more information and a map guide, click here.

The workshop will be held in the Holme Building located in the north section of the Camperdown campus, Science Rd, University of Sydney.

The University of Sydney is located close to the Sydney CBD and is easily accessible by bus, train, taxi or private car.


Buses to the University of Sydney depart from Railway Square, outside Central Station in the Sydney CBD.

Bus routes to the university from this stand are the 412, 413, 433, 436, 437, 438, 439, 440, 461, 483 and M10. Some of these buses may also be boarded from the Sydney CBD.

Alight from these buses at:

  1. Parramatta Road / Great Western Highway near Footbridge Theatre Alight at the footbridge and walk up the stairs into the main campus. If coming from the west, use the footbridge to cross the road and enter the campus.

Bus tickets must be purchased before boarding, and can purchased from any TransitShop or ticket vendor.


The University of Sydney is a 10 minute walk from Redfern Train Station, a major rail interchange.
From Redfern station walk west along Lawson Street to Abercrombie Street. Turn left on Abercrombie Street, then right at Shepherd Street, then enter the university via the Darlington Campus Boardwalk entrance.
Walk through the Engineering Precinct and then through the walkway under the Jane Foss Russell building. Enter the main campus via the footbridge and walk down Eastern Ave towards the Main Quadrangle.

The Holme building is past the Main Quadrangle.


A taxi from the Sydney CBD to the University of Sydney takes approximately 20 minutes and should cost around AUD $30, depending on traffic.


On-site parking is generally unavailable on main campus, with only a few public spaces available. Drivers are advised to park in Glebe and use the footbridge across the Great Western Highway to enter the campus.
