SoIT's News, Issue 3 2010

Message from the President

Hello all and welcome to the last edition of SoIT’s News for 2010.

It was great to see so many alumni at the USITAA AGM in July. I was honoured to be reelected to the executive and to continue working with Franc, Josephine, Judy and Phillip. Serving on the executive is a great way of connecting with the university. There are many ways to get involved - I’d encourage anyone out there interested in participating to get in touch.

If your organisation has ever thought about engaging with the School to get access to top quality students, then this issue’s "Planting CEEDS" article will be of particular interest. It is a good example of the benefits of building relationships between the university and industry.

Well done to all the prize winners, promotions and funding recipients listed in this month’s edition.

That’s all for now. I look forward to meeting many of you at the events we are planning for the next year.

MARK WEBB, President, USITAA
