IEEE International Conference on
Distributed Computing in Sensor Systems
June 18 - 20, 2007
Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA
=========================================
The 2007 International Conference on Distributed Computing in Sensor
Systems (DCOSS '07) will take place in Santa Fe during June 18 - 20, 2007.
The first and second DCOSS conferences, held at Marina Del Rey and San
Francisco respectively, featured high quality research papers and
interesting invited and contributed poster/presentation sessions. DCOSS
'07 is intended to cover several aspects of distributed computing in
sensor systems such as high level abstractions, computational models,
systematic design methodologies, algorithms, analysis and applications.
The conference will be co-located with several closely related workshops,
and will provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to present
their contributions related to the above high-level aspects of distributed
sensor systems. In addition to contributed papers, the meeting will also
include keynote addresses by leading researchers, a panel discussion, and
a poster/presentation session. .....

CALL for PARTICIPATION

January 7 and 8, 2007
Hyderabad, India
ntelligent agents exploring complex and dynamic physical and information
rich landscapes require sophisticated capabilities for perception,
reasoning and planning. The abilities to reason nonmonotonically, to
reason about actions, and to change one's beliefs, have been identified
as fundamental high-level cognitive functions. Underlying these functions
is the need to manage inconsistent, uncertain, incomplete and changing
information.
INVITED SPEAKERS
Peter Gardenfors, Lund University Cognitive Science, Sweden
Title: Bring in the forces! Modelling actions and functional properties
in conceptual spaces.

innovator by delivering leading-edge Information and Communication
Technology solutions for industry and society. The Centre has over 220
researchers across Australia working on a wide range of ICT technologies
and application areas.
We are currently developing a new software system for anomaly detection
in sensor network data, contributing to adaptive monitoring and control
in distributed systems, as well as real-time risk management. Discovering
and cross-correlating temporal data from multiple, spatially distributed
sensors aims to uncover significant trends and enable more efficient
monitoring and control of hazardous or anomalous conditions in challenging
dynamic environments.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a high quality research
environment, with strong collaboration across disciplines. The successful
applicant will be involved in both research and development aspects of
the project.
