Abstract
Good Information Visualization is a multidisciplinary effort, with support from a wide variety of research areas. These include perceptual psychology, graphic art, computer graphics, and information retrieval. In particular, some of the contributions to Information Visualization have come from classical algorithmics. Further, Information Visualization inspires scientific questions in algorithmics. In this talk we examine the connections between algorithmics and Information Visualization.
