Accommodation
Sydney is a large, cosmopolitan city.
The conference will be held at the University of Sydney,
which is close to the City Centre and serviced by many buses
from the central business district.
The venue for the conference will be in
buildings near the City Road Entrance at
map reference N17.
.
There is a huge range of hotels, from the prestige, harbour front
to modest backpacker accommodation.
The following hotels are recommended.

In the economical bracket, our first recommendation is the Mercure
because of its
location and value.
It is an easy 15 minutes walk to the conference venue and there
are buses every minute or so to the Parammatta Rd edge of the campus
and less frequently along the City Road edge with a bus stop about 100m
from the conference venues.
It is right at Central Railway Station.
This is stop to catch a train from the airport to the hotel.
It is also on the main City Circle.
It is about 40-50 minutes walk to Circular Quay at Sydney Harbour with the
justly famous Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
This is the area to catch ferries around beautiful Sydney Harbour.

You should also consider
the Novotel, which is less convenient for transport to the conference
site at University of Sydney but is nearer the Darling Harbour tourist hub.
(Note that the Darling Harbour area is not the main tourist area of the
harbour at Circular Quay, with the Opera House and Rocks historic area.)
For a luxury hotel, there is
the Wentworth (near the heart of the central business district) or
the Shangri La Sydney (formerly ANA, and near deservedly famous Sydney Harbour).
