New Website

The website has now moved to ~ashnil from ~akum5948. At the same time, I converted it to use the new university template. Parts of the website are not operational (Gallery and Projects), but this should change shortly.

Back from Beijing

I am back from my trip to Beijing. My internship at MSRA was an incredible experience. I can't talk too much about the research I conducted. All I can say is that it was pretty interesting and a lot of fun.

The work environment was pretty cool. The researchers and interns were all very friendly. It was great to try new and exotic dishes in the fine company they provided, and exploring parts of China with them. Special thanks to my mentor Wenwu, and fellow interns Wen, Olivia, Lin, Dirk, Anh, and Kelvin, for helping me have a great time, both professionally and personally.

Off to Beijing

I am off to Beijing for 3 months! I will be interning at MSRA as part of the Media Computing group's e-Health division. I am looking forward to seeing what sort of work Microsoft is engaged in, and also seeing places like the Great Wall of China.
