christmas party 2007

To celebrate the 2007 christmas season, the BMIT research group's students and staff organised a special Australian-style barbequeue at one of New South Wales' most iconic beaches, Wottamolla in the NSW Royal National Park.

Our international experts in computers and scientific literature were able to demonstrate their undeniable skills in an altogether more Aussie context: a true blue beach party and the fine art of "tossin' a shrimp on the barbie". Whereas Santa Clause was too busy (and thickly dressed) to attend, the cheer of jolly ol' Saint Nick certainly pervaded the atmosphere, and everybody took the opportunity to let their hair down a little and get into the spirit of the season.
