The Girls' Programming Network runs a new one-day workshop every school term.
It's a friendly, interactive atmosphere
where questions are more than welcome, with lots
of chatting and snacks!
2012 — Term 2 (Bonus Workshop!) — Sunday, 1st of July
The next GPN meeting is on Sunday, 1st of July, from 10am to 4pm.
We'll be looking at Computers from the ground up, exploring how computers
really work. We'll look at everything from transistors and logic gates to
how the CPU executes commands right up to how progamming languages like Python work.
If you're interested in coming along, sign up and we'll be in contact, or join our mailing list for information on future sessions. Please make sure you have confirmation from a tutor before coming along! Email us if you have any questions!
The following GPN workshop will be held on Saturday, August 11th, and we'll be diving head first into the NCSS Challenge.
Meetings are in the undergraduate labs on level 1 of the School of IT at the University of Sydney.
If you can't make this workshop but would like to find out about future ones, let us know! Email us at gpn@it.usyd.edu.au or fill out this form.
