Dr. Poon is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the School of Information
Technologies at the University of Sydney.

Before taking up this position, he was a lecturer in the Information Environments
Program in the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering
at University of Queensland. He has taught Java Programming, Software Project
Management, Advanced Topic on HCI and Studio subjects.

He was a Research Engineer with Canon Information System Research Australia
prior to taking up the faculty position.

He was a System Analyst with the HongkongBank of Australia before he returned
to pursuit postgraduate degree.

He holds a B.Sc(Hons) from University of Manchester (UK), M.Sc. from
Deakin University (Australia) and a Ph.D from the University of Sydney
(Australia). His Ph.D. research has contributed to the modelling of design
process as co-evolution using modified genetic algorithms.
