Abdur Rahman Sikder has submitted his Doctoral thesis in Bioinformatics at the Advanced Networks Research Group,School of Information Technologies at The University of Sydney.Mr Sikder has a Master's degree and a Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies (Higher Education) from The University of Sydney, Australia and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from The University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand.
He has been teaching in the University of Sydney and Central Queensland University Sydney International Campus as a Casual Lecturer/Tutor.
He is working on Bioinformatics under supervision of Professor Albert Y. Zomaya
He spent one academic year (Sep2005-June2006) at Bourne Lab,San Diego Supercomputer Center and the Departmant of Pharmacology in the University of California San Diego, CA, USA as a EAP Student.
His masters research project was in e-learning with Smart Internet Technology Research Group and his supervisor was Associate Professor Judy Kay
Mr Sikder also has interest in Bioinformatics, Sequence Alignment, Protein Domain Boundary, Machine Learning, Relational Databases,Data Mining and so on ....
He has more than six years work experience with various organisation as an Analyst Programmer/IT Consultant in Australia and New Zealand.
He likes travelling, reading & writing story,poem & novel. In 2002 , 2004 & 2005, He has completed round the world trips.
