Two FTP servers are accessible from beyond the School's intranet:
- ftp.ug.it.usyd.edu.au
- servicing users in the ugrad domain
- ftp.it.usyd.edu.au
- servicing users in the non-ugrad domain
NB: Please make sure that your client does not use "passive mode" to connect - for GUI-based clients this can be found in the settings while if you use a command line client just enter "passive" and it will tell you what state it is in. Most clients nowadays use passive mode by default so please make sure to disable it. Where possible, you are encouraged to use the sftp protocol.
