Configure the Safari Browser on Mac OS X or configure Mac OS X to use another browser

  1. from the "Safari" menu, choose "Preferences…"
  2. choose the desired default browser (this is the only officially supported way to configure a default browser for Mac OS X)
    1. choose the desired homepage
    2. click onto the "Tabs" icon
      • check "Enable Tabbed Browsing"
    3. click onto the "AutoFill" icon
      • uncheck everything
    4. click onto the "Security" icon
      • check "Block pop-up windows"
        • click "Block"
  3. quit Safari
