Install additional Software and configure existing packages after the base install of Mac OS X
Install any software you find necessary to install. Most commonly sought-after are MS Office, Adobe Reader, TextWrangler, X11. More on some of those further down.

with a webbrowser or [smb://itsmb/mac as a samba mount] (see also MacOsXconfigureFinderAndSoftwareUpdate)
