Mac Os Xplain Text Passwords

Set Mac OS X to send Plaintext Passwords to the Samba Servers

1. MacOsXstartTerminal
2. enter sudo vi /etc/nsmb.conf (or use another editor of your choice)
   • into that file insert the lines (if you are using vi, just type "i" to enter insert mode)

     [ITSMB] 
     minauth=none 
      
     [UGITSMB] 
     minauth=none 
     

     then save the file (if you are using vi, hit the "Escape" key, then "ZZ")
