After graduation, I joined
NICTA as a research engineer. |
I started in 2007 as a PhD student at the
School of Information Technologies, Univ. of Sydney
under the support of Endeavour IPRS scholarship by the Australian government.
My supervisor is Prof. Albert Zomaya,
and associate supervisors Dr. Selvakennedy Selvadurai,
Dr. Bjorn Landfeldt.
I obtained my B.S. in Computer Science from
Peking University,
and M.E. in Computer Engineering from
Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences,
and M.S. in Computer Science from
Dept of Computer Science, University of Virginia, USA.
Before coming to Australia, I was a lecturer in the
School of Software, Dalian University of Technology, China,
where I won teaching awards for two times. The courses taught include Computer Networks,
Computer Networking Labs, and Discrete Mathematics.
My current research project focuses on applying geometric routing to Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs).
Specially, we propose a joint geometric deployment and routing scheme for WMNs. The basic idea
of this scheme is to first deploy the WMNs in certain kind of geometric graph, and then design
a geometric routing protocol by exploiting the routing properties of this graph, so as to
achieve scalability and efficiency. We are the first to advocate such an idea,
and the proposed scheme won a runner-up prize for Excellence in Innovation offered by
Sydnovate at the Univ. of Sydney.
My other research interests include P2P networks, graph theory and online social networks.
If you are interested in these areas, welcome to have a discussion with me.
