Teaching space wins audiovisual award
30 August 2012
The University's new 'Learning Studio' in the PNR Building, located in the Engineering and IT Precinct, has taken out the 'Best Application of AV in Education' at this year's Audio Visual Industry Awards.
The award recognises an application of audiovisual equipment that pushes the boundaries of innovation in an educational environment. Designed as a formal teaching space, the studio is integrated with state-of-the-art 'pod' technology to encourage collaboration and the creation of knowledge between teaching staff and students. Large pod screens can be used to project class-related materials and student-created materials. Staff can even elect to display student work to the rest of the class.
The development of the space is a part of the ongoing precinct revitalisation project
