Dr. Blanche Verlie

Blance Verlie has a multidisciplinary background and works at the intersections between climate change, gender, culture, education, science studies, justice, emotions, affect and the more-than-human world.

Her research publications can be found here, and she has also written some shorter articles recently, including one on the emotional politics of Scott Morrison’s responses to the bushfires, whether the 2019/2020 bushfires and smoke might spark a change in the nation’s political atmosphere, and the effects of climate anxiety on young people. Blanche is currently working on a book title “Learning to live-with climate change” which will be published by Routledge in 2021.

Dr. Blanche Verlie is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Sydney Environment Institute.
