Project prioritisation process
Expressions of interest for this process closed on Saturday 25 February 2012.
In October 2011, the Senior Executive Group (SEG) approved the process for setting the University’s capital infrastructure priorities for the next five years.
The annual process was implemented in 2010 to establish clear governance structures around how projects are selected for funding.
The process is valuable in the management project deliverables. All requests are considered equally under the process, allowing an organised program where selection projects are delivered in appropriate timeframes.
Setting our Capital Infrastructure Priorities 2013 – 2017 and Beyond (PDF 229KB) outlines the steps of the project prioritisation process.
The process
The approved process outlines a two-phase approach.
The first phase delivers a comprehensive list of all projects identified as desirable by all areas of the University. The list will be prioritised according to a consistent and transparent set of criteria aligned to the University’s strategic goals.
The second phase will establish a robust mechanism to identify which projects should be escalated for further development, or removed from the list because of a lack of strategic alignment.
