The Research Training Scheme (RTS) enables eligible domestic Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates to be exempt from paying a student contribution or a tuition fee for the duration of an accredited HDR course. This can be up to a maximum of four years full-time equivalent study for a doctorate by research, and two years of full-time equivalent study for a master’s degree by research.
