How to apply

E12 students

Applications for 2019 intake via E12 are now open

Thank you for your interest in our E12 scheme. Applications for the 2019 E12 intake are now open! Applications for 2019 entry via E12 are accepted via UAC's Schools Recommendation Schemes (SRS) - you must apply for SRS, select the course you'd like to be considered for under E12 as your top University of Sydney preference, AND upload the answers to the 3 E12 questions in the SRS system.

Here are the five simple steps you need to follow to apply for E12:

Step 1: Choose a course

Look through the more than 80 University of Sydney courses available through E12, and see if there’s one that would be perfect for you. Make sure you are taking any necessary HSC subjects (check the course requirements), and have a good chance of meeting the E12 ATAR for that course.

Please note: you will only be considered for entry under E12 for the top E12-eligible University of Sydney preference in your list of UAC preferences as at 11:59pm on 28 September 2018. That is, you will only be considered for one (1) course in terms of entry under E12.

Step 2: Meet eligibility criteria

Make sure you meet the eligibility criteria for admission under E12.

Step 3: Talk to your school principal

Your principal will need to complete ratings for you in UAC's SRS portal, once you complete and submit your application (within your UAC application). They submit this online after you have applied. That means it’s a good idea to talk to them now (and your careers adviser) about your intention to apply for the E12 scheme, and the university course you want to study.

Step 4: Submit your application through UAC's SRS portal, upload the supporting document, and place the course you would like to be considered for as your top Sydney preference

Once you’ve decided which course you’d like to apply for and have spoken to your principal, apply online via UAC's Schools Recommendations Schemes (SRS) application portal by 11.59pm, 28 September 2018. Your top E12-eligible University of Sydney preference as at 11.59pm, 28 September 2018 will be the only course you can be considered for under E12, although you will be considered for any subsequent preference for non-E12 (standard) entry.

You must also answer three questions to remain eligible for consideration under E12. The document you must fill out can be downloaded here. Each answer must not exceed 200 words.

We will be in touch before HSC exams end, to advise if you have been successful in obtaining an early conditional offer through E12.

If you are not attending one of the government-identified schools eligible for E12, then your offer will also be conditional on you being accepted for the UAC Equity Access Scheme. You need to apply for this separately. For details see the UAC website.

Step 5: Sit your exams

Get the best HSC or IB marks possible – all you need to do now is reach the E12 ATAR requirement for your preferred course and you’ll be on your way to the University of Sydney!
