Who is eligible?

E12 student

Students are eligible if they are studying at a high school that has been identified by the government as ‘low
socioeconomic’ as listed on UAC's S01E list, or able to demonstrate that they are experiencing financial hardship at the time they apply for E12.

We invite you to nominate up to 30 students who are eligible for E12, show potential to succeed, and would thrive on the opportunities offered by a University of Sydney education. You can read our eligibility criteria. In choosing who to recommend, we ask you to consider students who show personal motivation inside and outside of the classroom, are committed to their studies, play an active part in the life of their community, are taking the required HSC subjects for their preferred uni course, and who have a good chance of meeting the E12 ATAR cut off for their desired course. Please note: E12 cannot be combined with any other Sydney special entry scheme.

We also encourage you to consider Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are interested in one of our courses available through E12.
