Recognised academic qualifications

The tables below provide a summary of the minimum academic qualifications offered overseas which are accepted by the University for the admission of domestic students into undergraduate courses. This information is intended as a guide only. For definitive advice about your eligibility for admission, please contact the Admissions Office.
The table generally shows the secondary qualification currently offered by these countries. The University also accepts some overseas secondary qualifications which are no longer offered.
If the country where you studied offers a secondary qualification that is accepted by the University, but you did not complete it, your application may still be considered, as long as you have completed a minimum period of tertiary study.
If the entry for a particular country states that only tertiary study is acceptable, the period of study needs to be generally be at least one full-time year in length, usually in an award course of at least bachelor’s (or equivalent) level. You need to have undertaken the study at a recognised institution.
Some overseas secondary qualifications are offered outside their country of origin, such as the GCE A Levels, International Baccalaureate and American High School Diploma. In these cases, rather than looking up the entry for the country where you completed the qualification, you should refer to the country of origin of the qualification itself.
