Outcome of application
Once your application has been processed by the University, you will receive notification about whether you have been successful in gaining a place in your preferred course.
If successful, the University will send you a ‘firm’ or ‘conditional’ offer. You can then
- accept your offer
- accept/decline any credit for previous studies
- choose your units of study and enrol with your faculty.
Application processing time
To ensure the fastest response time, please follow our application instructions carefully. We try to process applications within three weeks, although due to the nature of some applications, it may take longer.
Your application may take longer to process if:
- your previous qualifications are not known to us
- your documents are incomplete
- you are requesting credit/exemptions for courses already studied.
Please note: we receive many applications just before the two main deadlines each year (31 October and 30 April), so delays may be experienced at these times.
When a decision has been made, the University will email you at the address given on your application form (or contact your agent, if you are using one).
In coursework applications, if your application is successful, you will be offered a place in the course you have selected. Remember, the offer of a place also depends upon the number of places available in that course, and on meeting the entry requirements.
If your application is not successful, we will write to you explaining why it was not accepted. You may be required to provide further documents, or complete other courses.
