Centre for English Teaching
The University of Sydney Centre for English Teaching (CET) provides high-quality English language programs of five main types:
- University Pathway Courses
- Professional Pathway Courses
- Test Preparation Courses
- Customised Programs
- Corporate Training.
All our courses are taught by highly qualified instructors who have extensive experience teaching English both in Australia and internationally. They provide a friendly and caring learning environment that makes studying English in Sydney an enjoyable and stimulating educational experience.
As well as teaching you English and preparing you for your test, we are also an IELTS test venue, so when you have completed your English course we can arrange an IELTS test booking to suit your needs.
CET is located on the main campus of the University of Sydney, and all classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology. CET students have access to the University’s wide range of student support services and facilities provide a rich international student experience from pre-arrival to graduation.
CET Scholarships
The University of Sydney Centre for English Teaching is proud to support students by providing two types of Scholarships:
- Full English Language Scholarships from the Faculty and the Centre for English Teaching for Holders of Post-Graduate Scholarships for Masters by Research, PhD and EdD
- CET Tuition Scholarship of $1,000 who actively contribute to the values and philosophy of the University of Sydney.
Online English Practice
To support students who need to prepare for a University recognised English language exam we have developed a special online English practice environment.
Practice online for your IELTS, TOEFL, CAE or PTE English Language exams anytime, anywhere. Get immediate feedback and compare your results against our global community of fellow English learners.
