Wednesday 27th February to Friday 1st March 2013
On Wednesday 27th February, O-Week kicks off with an ‘Alice in Wonderland’-inspired theme of pink flamingos, cheshire cats and mad hatters – it’s down the rabbit hole for orientation 2013!
The University of Sydney Union (USU) provides a non-stop social scene that will have you juggling classes, free time and fun like a pro before you know it. Whether you’re ready to immerse yourself in the enormous world of Clubs and Societies or simply chill out at Manning or Hermann’s Bar on a lazy afternoon, O-Week 2013 gives you your first tantalising taste of everything the USU has to offer.
There will be some of the best student talent on display with live music and comedy – it’ll be an incredible way to launch your Sydney experience!
Buddy Club
Each semester, the Study Abroad and Exchange Unit coordinates the Buddy Club, a social mentoring program, designed to help you build social networks, engage with local students, adjust to life in Australia and make the most out of your semester abroad.
In the past we have organised Koala Breakfasts, bushwalking in the Royal National Park, trivia evenings, pub nights, yum cha, harbour cruises, fancy dress parties, concerts, sports events, fairs, dinner parties, barbeques, guided tours, shopping, and fundraising events.
You will receive your personal invitation to join the Buddy Club Facebook Group and start connecting with other students before you arrive in Australia.
Let us know what events and activities you would like to get involved in and the Buddy Club Team will see what they can do. Send your suggestions to .
