Closing dates
Unless a different deadline is specified for your course of interest, if you are applying within Australia then you must apply by no later than 10 weeks before the commencement of the next following semester:
- 30 November for commencement at the end of February
- 30 April for commencement in late July
You must check the specific course's closing date as many faculties have earlier or later closing dates, with some allowing applications right up until classes start.
Please note: these dates do not apply to Medicine (MBBS) and Dentistry (DMD) degrees. You should refer to Sydney Medical School and Faculty of Dentistry for further information about application dates for these courses.
Outcome of your application
Our Admissions Office will send you formal notification of the result of your application. (Please note: this does not apply to applications made through UAC.)
An offer of admission should be checked carefully. If you have any questions about the terms of the offer, contact the faculty office and your intended department.
If for any reason you are unable to accept an offer, please let both the department and the faculty office know. The University may then offer that place to another applicant.
Unsuccessful applications and declined offers are not retained indefinitely. If you want to reapply at a later time, you need to complete a new application.
