Broadway Scheme

Domestic UAC applicants who have experienced long-term educational disadvantage may apply to the Broadway Scheme, the University of Sydney's Educational Access Scheme (EAS) co-ordinated by the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).

The scheme is mainly intended for current-year Australian Year 12 students who expect to receive an ATAR (or equivalent).

To be eligible for consideration you will be required to demonstrate that your educational performance during Year 11 and/or Year 12 (or equivalent) has been seriously affected by circumstances beyond your control.

Applying to the Broadway Scheme

  • NSW Year 12 students - Your school will receive EAS booklets with the UAC Guides by mid-August. The booklets contain the EAS application forms. Check with your school's Careers Advisor.
  • Interstate Year 12 students - Your school receives a sample EAS booklet for information. You can either download the EAS booklet from UAC or contact UAC and request an EAS booklet be sent to you by mail from mid-August (no charge).
  • Other applicants - You can either download the EAS booklet from UAC or contact UAC and request an EAS booklet be sent to you by mail from mid-August (no charge). Alternatively you can collect an EAS booklet from Student Centres of the participating UAC universities from mid-August.
  • On-time applications closed at UAC on 30 September. Late applications can be submitted to UAC up to 6 January.
