Rural entry schemes
Overview
The University offers two special entry schemes for applicants from rural backgrounds. These schemes are designed to improve access into the University’s courses for Year 12 students from country areas.
Applicants who are approved under these schemes may qualify for admission with an ATAR which is close to, but below, the normal entry standard for their course of choice. The maximum concession under these schemes is five points.
Please note that these two schemes have different application processes, and the requirements for approval under each of these schemes may not be identical.
Application process
For these schemes, applicants must apply for admission through UAC and also submit an application form to the faculty which offers their course of choice.
Rural students seeking entry into the Bachelor of Pharmacy may be eligible for admission under the Faculty of Pharmacy Rural Students Entry Scheme.
