What is honours?
At the University of Sydney, most undergraduate degrees may be completed "with honours". Honours works differently in different faculties but usually involves either the completion of a separate Honours year or additional work in the later years of the course or meritorious achievement over all years of the course.

- Architecture
- Economics and Business
- Health Sciences
- Information Technologies
- Science
- Visual Arts (Sydney College of the Arts)
Eligibility
If you have completed an undergraduate degree at any Australian (or equivalent international) university you are eligible to apply for the Honours year. Most faculties require students to have an above-average grade point average for admission to the Honours year.
How to apply
All Honours applications must be submitted via our online course listings. You can apply to more than one faculty, but you must complete a separate application form for each.
