Early Career Research Scholars Scheme

At least 2 new Early Career Research Scholarships will be offered under this program in 2012. The Early Career Research Scholarships are extremely prestigious and applicants should preferably be engaged in an established research program at their home institution. Applicants from leading Chinese research universities are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must hold a doctorate and be citizens of the People’s Republic of China and not be currently working or studying in Australia at the time of application. Preference will be given to applicants working in areas of study that meet Chinese and Australian National research priorities.

Early Career Research Scholarships provide:

  • living expenses and the cost of appropriate health insurance for the duration of the program;
  • a minimum cost international airfare direct from China to Sydney, and return at the end of the Scholarship.
  • office accommodation, laboratory and other research requirements such as access to computer facilities, the Internet and the library.

Successful applicants are expected to be based full-time at the University for a period of one year.
