Sydney Medical School and Columbia University student exchange
The Sydney Medical School and Columbia University exchange annually up to 8 medical students. This program aims to enhance mutual understanding of health issues and health systems through the opportunity for an international learning experience. Outgoing and incoming students complete 8 to 12 weeks of clinical or research placements.

Sydney Medical School and Weill-Cornell Medical College student exchange
Under the agreement between Sydney Medical School and the Office of Global Health Education, Weill-Cornell Medical College, up to 4 Sydney medical school students may undertake a student exchange at Weill-Cornell and up to 2 students from Weill-Cornell may undertake a placement at the University of Sydney. Public Health is a special feature of this particular exchange program with outgoing students undertaking a 2-week public health clerkship (Health Care Policy). Incoming students undertake two weeks in a public health placement and two weeks at our University Department of Rural Health in Broken Hill.

Global health and development collaboration with the Earth Institute of Columbia University
Building on existing partnerships between the University of Sydney and the Earth Institute at Columbia University, the program will support collaboration on the Millennium Villages Project in Africa and in Papua New Guinea as well as the newly established Global Food Systems Initiative. Areas of activity include faculty visits and collaborative operational research.

Building a cancer prevention partnership for women in Tamil Nadu, India
Linking Sydney Medical School, Weill Cornell Medical College (USA), Cancer Council Australia and Christian Medical College Vellore, India
This project will allow for a collaboration that will extend and evaluate a cervical and breast cancer prevention program in Vellore, Tamil Nadu India.
